Here are a few things that you can do in and around town to give 2022 a proper send-off!
New Year’s Eve Fireworks
It wouldn’t be NYE without a show, and The Village at Mammoth puts on a great one every year. Gather the family for a night of fireworks, hot cocoa, live music, food & drinks, pictures with Woolly, and face-painting. The festivities start at 6:30pm and end at 9:30pm so that you won’t miss the televised ball drop.
This is an outdoor celebration so remember to dress warm!
Catch a Live Show at June Lake
Ring in the new year with a musical performance by Jelly Bread! This local favorite funk band will be playing at the T-Bar Social Club in neighboring June Lake from 10pm to 2am, so you’ll cruise right on through to 2023 in style.
Never been to June Lake? This scenic little town is a short 20 minute drive from Mammoth.
Bar Hop Around Town
Looking for a fun night on the town? Mammoth has a handful of bars that are sure to attract some NYE celebrators this Saturday.
If you’re going to see the firework show at the Village, you can stop in at Shelter Distillery for some signature cocktails. Or, head across the street to the Clocktower Cellar, which was recently rated the #1 Apres Ski by USA Today.
Then, keep the party going at LakaNuki at the Village, Mammoth Brewing Company, Liberty Bar, or even Mammoth Rock’n’Bowl.
To be sure, our night life is more small town than Times Square festivities. But if you’re looking to enjoy a few New Year’s drinks with good company, you’ll certainly find something enjoyable!
And at risk of sounding like your parents, we want to remind you to stay safe out there! Remember to save the number of our local taxi service in your phone or have a designated driver for the night.
Stay cozy and watch the ball drop from your condo
Truth be told, many of us locals are happy to ring in the new year in our pajamas. And, if you’re renting a unit with us, you’ll be able to watch the ball drop from the comfort of your Mammoth condo rental!
So, buy a bottle of bubbly, get cozy on the couch, and ring in the new year with your closest friends and family. What we love about this tradition is that you’ll be able to wake up refreshed and ready for a full day on the mountain! There’s no better way to start 2023.
