With summer right around the corner, it’s time to put away the skis and snowboards and bring out the t-shirts and shorts. Mammoth Mountain is host to a variety of summer events that everyone in the family can enjoy. We’ve gathered all our favorite summer events right here to help you plan your summer trip to Mammoth Mountain.

1. Monster Energy Mammoth Motocross

June 16-25, 2023, 8 am - 5 pm

For over 50 years, racers and spectators alike have flocked to Mammoth Lake, CA to view this classic event. This event has become the oldest continuous running motocross event in the United States. This major amateur event has produced a variety of top-name racers the sport knows today. The race schedule includes multiple practice days, vet racing, mini championships, and aged, gendered, and distanced events. Tickets are available for spectators on-site, at the front gates. After you purchased your ticket, a bus will take you down to the track to enjoy the races.

2. Mammoth Wine Weekend

August 17th – 21st, 2023, 8 pm to 10 pm

This summer staple in Mammoth Lakes is the perfect place to wine and dine. Enjoy a long weekend filled with exclusive winemaker dinners at select Mammoth Mountain restaurants, a wine walk featuring over 30 wineries, and a Sunday Champagne Bruch. This is the perfect event for all those wine lovers out there.

3. Summit Sunset Party

Date: TBD

Watch the sunset on the summit of Mammoth Mountain. This family-friendly event is a unique summer experience that is one not to miss. Ride the Panorama Gondola to the top of the Sierra to watch the sunset and participate in all the other activities this event provides. Go on a lighted glow walk to the Lakes Basin Overlook, and enjoy live music, food, and bar concessions. Kids under the age of 12 are free to attend but everyone aged 13 and above will have to purchase tickets to the event.

4. Mammoth JazzFest

July 15th & 16th, 2023 4:30 pm to 10 pm

This summer jazz tradition is one not to miss. This event not only features live jazz music but also a wine walk. The wine walk will feature a variety of different types of wine from numerous vineyards across California. The Mammoth JazzFest is a non-ticketed and free event for all to attend.

5. 4th of July Parade

July 4th, 2023, 11 am to 12:30 pm

Join the 4th of July festivities with the 4th of July parade. Line the streets from Chateau and Old Mammoth Road to Manzanita Road and Main Street to view all the amazing floats for the parade this year. Wear your best patriotic outfits and your camp chairs and celebrate our nation's birthday with this free event.

6. Mammoth Village Fest

Mammoth Village Fest is an annual event that features amazing local food and local bands. Enjoy not only a rib cook-off but a chili cook-off as well as burgers. They also feature a beer & wine garden for those who are old enough to drink.  This event is free to attend and is perfect for the whole family.

7. Mammoth Festival of Beers & Bluesapalooza

August 3rd- 6th, 2023, 11 am to 10 pm

Hang out among the pines and enjoy some of the best brews and blues this country has to offer. This festival will feature over 80 craft breweries with a grand tasting on Saturday and Sunday.  All ages are allowed to attend the event. Children under 10 years old are free with a paid adult. 8. Yoga Festival

June 22, 2023, 8 am

Take time to heal your energy during the 4 days Mammoth Yoga Festival. This festival is perfect for the whole family. They host a series of workshops, live music, kids’ yoga, SUP, and food and craft vendors. Tickets range anywhere from $119 to $450 depending on how many days you wish to attend. Once you purchased your ticket, you can start registering for what events you wish to partake in. 

9. Mammoth Margarita Fest

August 11th & 12th, 2023, 4:30 pm

Join us in The Village at Mammoth for the 10th annual Mammoth Margarita Fest. Enjoy some of the best Tequila, Latin-inspired food, and music. Music is Free to enjoy but the tequila and food are not. Don’t be afraid to dance at this eventful festival.

10. Mammoth Reggae Festival

July 21nd – 23th, 2023, 6 pm to 10 pm

This family-friendly event is free for everyone. Bring your blanket and lawn chairs to sit and enjoy 12 live reggae bands in the mountains. This event also features a DJ, art vendors, shopping, and food and drinks. This is the perfect lowkey evening event for the whole family.
