Description

Discovery 4 Unit 160 is ideal for any large family or multiple families vacationing together. The spacious floor plan and many sleeping options create a great space for relaxing and enjoying after a long day adventuring around Mammoth.

Maximum Occupancy: 8 people. Unit only has a keurig machine so please bring your favorite k-cups!

Bed Arrangement: The master bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed, a small TV, and a private bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. The loft has 4 twin beds, a TV, DVD, and VHS player.

Unit Amenities: This is a very cozy 2 bedroom/loft/2 bath condominium with a full size kitchen with a K cup Keureg coffee maker and a separate dining area that leads out to your very own private deck with a beautiful view. The deck is stacked with dry, seasoned firewood for your use in the wood stove. Downstairs there is a full size bathroom with a tub, shower, and a separate vanity area. The full size kitchen is equipped with all the basic appliances for your comfort and convenience. The living room has a stereo, a TV, and a DVD player with free cable and some movie channels (check channel 40 for all listings). This unit also offers a secured wireless internet connection!

On Site Amenities: Walk over to the recreation room and enjoy its amenities, including coin op laundry machines, a pool table, a ping pong table, video games, a soda machine, and small reading area. At the end of your day unwind in the jacuzzi or dry sauna which are open year round. The pool is heated from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend. There are gas barbecues located in the pool area all year long.

Discovery 4 property is located off Lake Mary Rd. which leads up to Mammoth’s Lake Basin and a short ½ mile to Canyon Lodge the ultimate ski and snowboard place to be!

Great spot for two families of four.

Kitchen was stocked well. The sledding hill outside the condo was a bonus. Very easy check in after hours. Would stay in these condos again!

2 bedroom + loft. Booked last minute trip for me and my 2 kids. More than enough room, but wanted to be close to Canyon Lodge. We will definitely book this room again.

Comfortably fit 8 people and it was so close to canyon lodge. We were able to walk there in 10 minutes. No hassle to find parking for the day!

We had a nice visit at this location. Everything was clean and functioning and the amenities provided were sufficient. The areas were spacious and comfortable and were more than what we expected. The management company was courteous and communications were clear and informative about our stay as this was a change in location from our original reservation.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was spacious, clean and at a good location. This was an alternate location to what we booked as there was a problem with the initial booking. The staff at Mammoth Mountain Reservations were courteous, professional and efficient and were able to secure us a place to stay.

The rental was straight to the point and easy. It was very fast to set up and all the information provided was all you need to get going. It was close to the mountain so that was a plus. The place was clean and had all the items you need to cook, drink, sleep, and more.

We had a wonderful family reunion with all of our children and grandchildren. We enjoyed many of the amenities that Discovery 4 had to offer. All the units were clean and well maintained.However, I do have several complaints; we had several families that traveled a distance and needed to wash their clothes. It was unfortunate that the washer and dryer were not in service and were still not in service on the day that was promised. One more trip into town that was certainly not necessary when you had them on sight just not hooked up. Your pool and spa were well used by all the guests however, both were dirty and cloudy. Whatever chemicals you used in the hot tub discolored by daughters swim suit. One of the units we used had a lock jam on them and was not fixable, that unit also had some mouse dropping in the upstairs bedding. We will certainly return to Mammoth as we love it however, I'm not sure we will return to Discovery 4.
Manager response: We are glad that you enjoyed the unit and we do apologize for the common area situation. We do not have any control over that as the property manager oversees the complex. We thought the place was great. It might be a little older, but it was a great price with the perfect location. We walked to Canyon lodge to go snowboarding. It had plenty of room for the family and they also except pets. Couldn't ask for more in a rental.
