Description

Discovery 4's Unit 142 is a popular 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom and loft condo. It is a great unit for rest and relaxation after a day of venturing in Mammoth.

Maximum Occupancy: Unit 142 sleeps 6 people comfortably.

Bed arrangement: The master bedroom has a queen size bed. Upstairs there are 2 twin beds and a queen bed as well as a newly remodeled bathroom.

Unit Amenities: This condo has a Private Wi-Fi connection, so if you need to work late nights or in a different time zone, this condo is for you. The unit has been recently remodeled with new cabinets and granite counter tops in a full size kitchen which has new appliances and is well-equipped for your comfort and convenience. There is a separate dining area that leads out to your very own private deck that is stacked with dry, seasoned, firewood for those cold nights when you want to curl up in front of the wood stove for a comfortable fire.There is new carpet and paint throughout the unit. The living room has a Flat Screen TV and DVD player with free cable and several movie channels. A large supply of DVDs, CDs and books is available for your viewing, listening and reading enjoyment.

On Site Amenities: Walk over to the recreation room and enjoy its amenities, including coin op laundry machines, a pool table, a ping pong table, video games, a soda machine, and small reading area. At the end of your day unwind in the jacuzzi or dry sauna which are open year round. The pool is heated from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend. There are gas barbecues located in the pool area all year long.

This is not a pet unit and no smoking please.

It was very clean, comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Canyon lodge was a short, steep 10-15 minute walk away and a good warmup for a full day on the mountain.

Mammoth Mountain Reservations was great to work with and we especially enjoyed the hot tub and game room in the complex. The location was good, walkable to Canyon Lodge but up a hill which is a bit challenging with ski gear. One suggestion we have is to replace the twin mattresses - they seemed unusually short and were not very comfortable for an adult. Other beds were great and overall we liked the unit and the complex very much. We would rent again.

Been here a few times in prior years, super good location near Canyon Lodge (15 min walk), great setup with kitchen equipment and everything you need. Partly indoor / part outdoor hot tub and saunas are a bonus!

Repeat customers who are never disappointed! This unit is well-stocked, clean, comfy and cozy. Great for winter and summer escapes to the terrific Sierra Nevadas. The rec room and pool/jacuzzi areas are clean and spacious too!

A return trip to our favorite condo was rewarded with more snow than we've seen in decades at Mammoth Lakes! The condo is well-equipped with everything we needed to cook at home and was very cozy, even if we could only see a bit of sky out the windows for all the snow (second story too!)! New bed was also very comfy! Can't wait to return soon!

A great condo for our a group of skiers/boarders. The two single beds plus queen in the loft allows for flexible sleeping arrangements. The bedroom has it's own sink which is a nice feature to have in addition to the 2 bathrooms. This helps get everyone out of the house and ready to catch First Chair. Eagle Lodge is only 4 mins away. The recreation building has a large hot tub, sauna, two shower rooms (Men's & Women's), and coin-op laundry. As the pics show, there's table tennis, a TV and a coin-op pool table. Propane BBQ grill. Pool closed in the winter.

My husand and I and our two grandsons greatly enjoyed our stay! The unit is extremely comfortable and well equipped. The game room and the location, being a stop on the Lakes Basin Trolley route, were great bonuses for us. I highly recommend a stay in #142!

We had a wonderful family vacation here. The place is cozy and charming with lots of art decorating the walls. The kitchen was well stocked and the living room had lots of games and dvds. Great location within walking distance of Canyon Lodge and short drive to downtown or Tamarack Lodge. Easy check in and check out. Would stay here again!

The condo was great, the living room was very comfortable with the wood burning stove and tons of fire wood provided. The kitchen had everything you would need and the beds were comfy. The heaters worked great and there was plenty of hot water for showers. The location is as convenient, we would definitely stay here again!

The unit had all the amenities we were looking for. Everything we needed for the 3 nights that we stayed were in the unit(ie kitchen essentials & games). The place was quiet & location was really close to the lakes & local restaurants. We were excited to learn that Chloe Kim, the Gold US Olympian Skateboarder stayed in the same unit!!!

Loved our stay at D4-142. The unit was very clean upon arrival and equipped with all utensils, pots and pans needed to cook at home, which we did with 3 kids on board. The place has a real home-away-from-home vibe and great wifi on top that! Spent some time in the pool and rec room and it is well kept and stocked up - everything was working well. Can't wait to return soon. Thanks for a great getaway.

Perfect for a family of fiveWe were very pleased with this property. The loft and attached bathroom was perfect for our kids aged 9, 9, and 12. Each had their own bed. They loved the nearby game room and spent several hours playing foosball and ping pong.The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we could possibly need.The only thing I wish were different was the huge stack of firewood on the balcony. It took up over half the space so that if I sat out there, all I saw was firewood. I would strongly recommend bringing your own pillows as the ones provided are quite flat. This was a great little condo and very efficient use of space for 5 adults. It came with all the amenities we needed and location is close to the Canyon Lodge. I would give a 5 star rating but the cable was not working for our stay. I tried to email the owner and called Mammoth Properties who told me that others have complained from other units as well and blamed the recent storms for the problem. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay in this unit.

the condo did not look AT ALL like what we saw in the pictures. it was not bad, just not what i thought i was getting. it was way more cozy and home-y than i expected, which is fine. very cabin-y with lots of funky art all around. the location was great as you could actually walk up the hill from there and ski down to a lift - no need for transportation to/from the mountain. the common area was fine - with ping pong and pool which was fun, and of course a hot tub.

I love the way this apartment is furnished and decorated. Its so homey and comfortable, and really enjoyable to stay at!There were no instructions on how to access the hot tub area - there is a code required, and host did not provide that code, so we had to rely on existing guests to tell us. But that was literally the only inconvenience.
