Road and Mountain Biking
Mammoth Lakes is the place to come for some of the most scenic mountain biking in the whole Eastern Sierra. From beginner trail systems such as the Shady Rest Forest and Park loops to one of the fastest downhill tracks (Kamikaze) on Mammoth Mountain, you are sure to find the perfect trail to suit your fancy. In spring time, you will be awed by the blooming flowers with snow covered peaks in the background. As it gets warmer, the high mountain passes start opening up and you can explore more deeply into the canyons and high mountains to see some of the most beautiful vistas that you can feast your eyes on. The end of the summer brings fall colors that can't be beat!
 
 
Fishing

Visitors travel far and wide to visit one of the most picturesque places to fish in the whole Eastern Sierra. Whether you are fly fishing or bait fishing, Mammoth Lakes offers endless options of lakes and streams to spend your days searching for that big catch. There are even fishing Derbies to test your skills and win prizes (Sept. will give you a chance to win a million dollars). Golfing
Mammoth Lakes houses two golf courses in it's small town: Sierra Star and Snowcreek.
 
With the amazing mountains around Mammoth Lakes serving as the backdrop you'll have a hard time keeping your eye on the ball!! Around both of these beautiful courses, you will find pine tree and gorgeous vistas. Sierra Star is located more in the center of town and Snowcreek is at the base Mammoth Rock in the Sherwin moutain range.
